With the Lotus sold and the big 6 up for sale, I wanted to downsize/down value the daily, and after almost getting a mk6 Golf GTi, this came up in the family and of course knowing the car’s history I couldn’t help but snap it up.
If only for the hairdressing quips!
It’s a pretty immaculate 2012 Mk2 1.8 tfsi sport, manwell. Boggo spec, half leather. And drives fantastically.
No idea how long I will keep it or how much use it will get in these weird times but there’s nothing like getting a new motor!
So no, not the Lotus replacement you were expecting. Or I was expecting. Once I sell the 6 we will see what happens!
