Here’s My first build thread🤷🏻‍♂️ Gonna do the Leon First as the civic will be long🤣

Had been looking something TFSI for a while, either Golf, A3/S3, Leon… Change of jobs and less miles (I was doing 80miles a day😨 now doing 5😂) means it was more viable!

I kept looking for the right car to pop up and one day on Used Cars NI I seen this Leon pop up! With 71k miles!
Was local so said I’d call in a see!

Had a look around it, had a Milltek non res back section and a Revo Intake! And a massive Dual Subwoofer in the boot😅

Everything checked out, took it for a test drive! And made a deal! Traded in my Leon TDI against it (This was 3 weeks ago now)

(Before I’d the coilovers out)

Was well cuffed with my new purchase! (Girlfriend no so much with it being yellow🤣)
Of course had to get stright home and got a full slick!

Came across my first usual TFSI issue what was a diverter valve! Straight on and ordered myself a Rev G

Made a massive Difference on the car!

Had to pull this out as it weighed a ton and I had a couple of weeks fun with it then the sore heads started coming 😂

FINALLY got my personal Reg on and did a debage on the boot!

I had pulled the interior apart to get my double Din in and also took the plastics out to get them painted Gloss Black! I did this on my last one made makes the interior feel a-bit more “Modern” in a sense!
Will update when I get them back installed

Had one of these a few years back, absolutely mega cars! The yellow certainly stands out!

Only thing ill say is with it missing the insulation stuff on the underside of the bonnet, water goes under the black bit on the top side, then through those 3 plastic pop fittings, drips off and fills up the cylinder 4 spark plug well. Then the car starts missfiring..... then you have to wet vac the water out and silicone up round the fittings...... at least that was my experience lol

Just as you said this, when I serviced it yesterday we had this problem there was abit of corrosion around the plug holes 🥴 I’m gonna look into getting new insulation for it to help this!

The yellow and black theme looks good imo. Nice car! Getting the wing mirrors wrapped black to compliment the wheels would look good if you’re keeping them.

Had a cupra version of this afew years ago and absolutely loved it. They can be made such a wolf in sheep's clothing as no one really knows about them. Class colour too.

I have a stud and nut conversion kit laying in the garage for the High pressure fuel pump, brand new if it would be any use to you.

Definitely have took a few TDIs by surprise now, thanks just replaced the HPFP hardware with stainless stuff there so I’ll keep in mind

You really are a street away lol.

I`m liking what you have done to this so far and they are a car that's often overlooked.

Simple modification done tonight, that gives it a wee bit of a facelift I think
Pick up a Linea R grill second hand on Wednesday!

The black was abit tatty where it’s had been painted over the chrome

3hrs later I’d a fresh coat of black back on it

And boom! Even swapped the center badge over as mine was better condition!
Car definitely needs a good buff for Dundalk on Sunday if I can find time 🫠

Been quiet with the Leon the past while, but yesterday I dropped the car off to Limitless Garage and got a 3” Stainless downpipe to complete the system! What a difference it makes!
Was expecting it to be loud and to drone but nope, with the miltek back section it’s perfect I think! And the car is definitely more responsive!

Near time to get her to auto tune for a mapping!

I had a Mk2 Cupra in the same colour circa 2018, mapped by R-Tech to 330ish bhp. Brilliant car, would have it back in a heartbeat.

Ironically, it drove past me outside Victoria Square last September while I was standing at the side of the road waiting for a recovery truck for my Passat :joy:
