Having browsed the usual spots I don't see much around so thought I'd ask on here.

Had a 'sensible' car for a few months and it nearly killed me! I don't need fast, just enjoyable to drive!

Needs to be:-
- 2k or less
- Petrol
- Well looked after

My mate is selling a Golf V6 4Motion, has around 100k or so on it and has a service history as thick as the Old Testament with most stuff being bought through Agnews/TPS and serviced by a VAG master tech. Black 2000 and surprisingly rust free. It's quick enough to enjoy and the 4Motion adds a bit something extra.

There’s a R53 MINI Cooper S for sale at the minute for £1850 and claiming to be near 200bhp. Hard to get more smiles per gallon for under £2k.

I nearly bought a 182 from magherafelt direction for less that £2k - might still be for sale

The golf above is mine - over 200bhp and 200lb/ft, surprisingly good MPG considering. It’s 2001, 111k and as said FSH. 4motion with the upgraded suspension bits makes it a lot of fun.

If you’re thinking along the lines of a 182 there is one on Facebook marketplace for sale, 100k on it but it has the Recaro trendlines which would be rare enough in them. Also had the belts and dephaser carried out 1,000 miles ago apparently.
