350z LSD Fitting

I've bought myself a Tomei LSD for the 350z and need to get it fitted. Is this a specialist job?

If just installing the LSD unit into your existing CWP, then it shouldnt be too difficult for any competent mechanic.

Spoke to my mechanic and he doesn't want to fit it. Any recommendations in Ards/Bangor area, or if not, further out that has experience fitting diffs, working on gearboxes etc - someone with relevant experience?

They didn't fancy it either. Mentioned he was now doing gearbox stripdowns and repairs, but not fitting diffs as of yet. Cheers for the rec tho.

I've the number for Rick who previously worked at Momentum Motorsports in Lisburn and I'm going to give Gardiner in Cullybackey a call but I would rather somewhere local if I can help it.

Turkington Pitstop fitted my LSD on mx5, it was a good few years ago but Les did it no problems.

Probably bolt in job with housing and all? This will be pulling the diff out and pulling it apart and changing the internals so a bit more involved setting lash, etc.

It was a Kaaz 1.5 into a 1.8 housing.

Had to do half shafts and props also

I've booked it in with Rick @ Rick's Garage in Lisburn - they're booked for a solid month so a bit of waiting to do. At least I can get a bushing kit ordered in the meantime and get that done at the same time.
