So with the type r I had my fun and over the 3.5years of ownership I loved it but it wasn't practical enough for me with owning mountain bikes and road bikes and with motorbike racing etc etc it was enivatable that i had to own an estate of some form. As a Honda lover though through and through I couldn't leave the brand and stumbled across this rare beast on these shores. Bought it of my mates dad who had aquired it from an elderly lady who had sadly passed last year I believe. Don't think it had ever seen a hard life or reached the rpm's of vtec.

Bit of spec:

2.4 Manual petrol (k24a3) 190bhp
Half leather, cruise control, electric tail gate and enough space to bring in a family of immigrants on the next ferry from france
Satin Silver
17's
Bog standard bar a nice tint on the rear windows

Plans:

35mm apex springs ordered to put it down a little
I've ordered alloy piping and filter etc to make a custom air intake
Rhino carbon effect lip
Alloys to be refurbed
Further paint correction to take out the old lady park against a hedge scratches
Facelift spoiler if i can ever find one

Future plans:

Modulo front lip
reflash ecu
Cat back system
Fn2 steering wheel
Premier edition front seats
Coilovers

Here she is, only 103k on it and is quiet as you like, love it already

One of the first things I changed on the front was the badge managed to get an oem one on ebay for £13 so it went straight on and really helps the front end.

This is the front lip I'm considering for it

Yeah same lip I'll have to have a look in the shed to see what's left, just painted mine and the gearbox went bang so stripped it

Ah not good sorry to hear that. I'd be interested in bits and pieces. Fire me a list of what you have sure. Cheers

So my apex 35mm springs around and got fitted. Cars sitting at a nice height now with them still needing to bed in a bit. Also received my bits for an induction kit in the post and a carbon effect rhino lip which will add to the front end.

Car also got new pads on the rear and brake shoes as the previous pads had a guide nipple on the back and where fitted which caused the caliper to twist slightly and grip the disc. Sadly by the time this was noticed the pads where shot.

Sits well and a set of 18s would fit it perfect but for this side of the winter I'll run the standard wheels

That's a good drop for 30mm. My mate has 50mm Tenzo springs in his, but it makes it a bit bumpy and the front lips scuffs every speed bump.

Handles a lot better now and is perfect on the bumps. Tenzo springs wouldnt be my first choice thh so that's why I went with the 35mm apex ones.

So today i set about fitting my custom induction kit to give the car a bit more low down and a nice sound. Worked really well and car sounds excellent now. Noticeable difference on how it reacts when you press the fast pedal and revs a bit nicer.

So set about taking out the old air box, filter was pretty fresh in it which was good to see

Airbox out

So this is the bit of pipe i bought, 80mm by 150mm. had to cut an end of as it was slightly to wide for the hks filter

So cut off and filter fitted onto the end perfect

Also fitted my carbon effect rhino lip, looks the part and the cars started to settle well on the springs.

Also polished up the lights with my meguiars kit. Next up is a jap plate for the front of the car and an ecu reflash after Christmas.

So after a bit of messing about from hermes (complete joke of a service) I managed to get hold of a facelift spoiler, which are very hard to get hold off. Basically stole it for the price I paid so well pleased. Needed a bit of a tidy but painted it and fitted.

That's the mods done for this year so next mod in the new year will be an ecu reflash to really open up the engine.
