Renewals are always more expensive, they are banking on you just letting it renew.

I have been with Admiral a fair few years now, and it’s always the same story. A phone call in my experience has always brought the quote down to somewhere very close to the previous years price.

We had a complete nightmare with abbey insurance admittedly 20 years ago but my Mrs had a fairly minor bump into the back of another car. They were complete c**ts to her about it, such a bad attitude.

I was with Abbey for a year and they massively increased my renewal and actually laughed at me and said that's the best price you'll get you'll never get even get close to that. Told them to shove it and went with the significantly cheaper quote I got elsewhere. I remember having to jump through hoops getting the policy in place to begin with. That was probably 15 or so years ago I don't understand how you can treat customers like that and still be in business.
