Is it worth getting the anti bacterial for the extra £20 at Greenway autos, or indeed anywhere? Much difference over the cans you let off inside the car yourself?

Jesus! I did mine myself a few days ago in about 3 hours and that was a Compressor change too, some stripping involved in it! £300 is taking the pee. Condenser was £77 from ECP

Was less than that to swap one on a cayenne including a fairly lengthy diagnosis, installation of dryer and regassing.

My Range Rover is due in next week for a new condenser 😳

I haven’t got a bill yet but mine was similar, took ages to find the leak as it was so small and only lost 3/4 of its has over 2/3 months but they did find it.

The newer aircon gas is a fortune too and the RR holds 800g ffs

1050g in the Porker plus it has hydraulic roll bars which were in the way so a real balls of an operation apparently. That’s after I think 5 or 6 hours diagnosis as well. Needless to say I was very grateful and he was glad to see the back of it lol

Yeah would've had a go myself but looked online and seen people doing it themselves and ruining o-rings or seals and then it having to come out again lol. Not knocking them like, was quoted £350-400 which I thought was at the dearer end. Left a £100 deposit and came back and was asked for £395, thinking I owed £295 but nope. Got a receipt and it said £390 on it, even if it wasn't including VAT there's defo something not right. Can't be melted tho, AC is too cold :grinning:

Greenaway are air con and electrical specialist and have all the latest equipment.

They aren’t cheap but I could never fault their work. They may charge a higher rate for electrical work than others but generally find the fault a lot quicker too.

Their supplier couldn’t get a condenser for weeks for the RR but they have no issues me getting it from BLRC for them to fit. (They gas most cars for BLRC anyway) and BLRC are booked up to the end of August 😳
