I've seen a new black M4 around the North West a few times now and it looked and sounded well.

So I think I spoke too soon, drove the GTR on a 200 mile ish road trip on Sunday and think I would miss that noise, looks and experience too much That and the fact a new M4 is pretty much coming out at supercar money makes me think id be crazy to change now.

Going to replace the Cup 2s with some PS4S to see if it makes it a better daily.

Well I think that's obvious but he's acknowledged he doesn't need anything like the GTR

I'd love you to keep it ... Still would love to see it floating about.

M4 would be a much better daily in fairness. Actually incredibly comfortable, fast as you’d ever want but the noise, or lack of it at low speeds is what let it down for me. Found you really had to be pushing it very hard to enjoy it.

I think the M4 is absolutely sensational though, the handling and grip are superb and you can really throw it around and is fine on the back roads etc.

A C63 might give you the sounds and very daily useable but won’t feel anything as special as the GTR.
Maybe add to the fleet rather than sell the GTR?

I test drove a C63 and wasn’t blown away, much preferred the new M4 and again I thought the C63 sounded very muted with the opf and no cracks or bangs which sort of kills the character of the engine.

The GTR is beautiful and is a supercar. Whether an M4 goes like a supercar or not it's an everyday 4 series tarted up and quite frankly it's very ugly. That GTR of yours is stunning, no M4 comes close.

So I sold this yesterday Was really torn about the decision and very nearly didn’t do it and almost had a tear in my eye when I left it but got a pre facelift C63S coupe as it’s replacement and couldn’t warm to the facelift sound.

I really loved the GTR but it just wasn’t a good daily and I couldn’t justify/live in an apartment and physically don’t have the space for 2 cars so made the decision.

Nothing will ever compare to its looks or sound for me but over the 300 miles home I bonded with the c63 and have already been on roads I wouldn’t have dreamed taking the GTR on and can’t believe how ‘soft’ the C63 is.

I’m surprised how quiet the C63 is in comparison so getting an exhaust valve controller to help sort that, also feel like i’m sitting on it rather than in it like in the GTR/an M4 and the gearbox is very slow compared to the GTR but it’ll be a perfect daily. Went for one in the magno grey with every single option apart from ceramic brakes.
