Steering wheel looks like new!

The whole interior looks fantastic.

R32 rear lights make a big difference, especially on the dark coloured cars.

Cheers mate the interior came up really well. Mechanically the car has been well maintained the interior and paintwork whist not rough just needed a proper clean. I’ve looked at the r32 lights if it stays for any amount of time I might end up doing that but will see. Still think it needs a slight drop.

@Lyons should have said that was Gtechniq tri clean and a colourlock brush used. Then a clean Microfibre to remove excess not to much pressure applied to the wheel or leather takes abit of time but really does help the overall finish.

Will either have been done or need done. Mine have been done and the rubbers removed from inside to stop them holding water. There a great car this is my second one in the last year and to be honest I prefer the dsg. Hard to find over here with spec and decent mileage. @Gaz VW is selling his lovely car in white.
Should have said everything is for sale 🤭😂
@southsky sunrise isnt that right. 😂😂

So that’s the car finally away to get some work done. Two rear wheel bearings another service and the cam follower is getting changed. I had thought about doing it myself but just far to busy. I also have the updated oe pcv valve and dv to do but that’ll be done at a later stage. Think it needs a drop link so that’ll be done when we change the suspension still don’t know weather to buy my old coil overs back or go for H&R springs which get really good reviews. Have a few things I would like to do but will see what the next month or 2 brings. I have all new front grills to go on to freshen it up the old ones are dull and the red trim on the grill is peeling.
Ideally next on the list will be suspension and a remap. Quick once over before it went anywhere.

Nothing like a fresh serviced car.
mahle filter and some motul xclean plus oil
Skf rear bearings
Oe cam follower.
Car is now shifting up through gears as it should with the new bearings in abs is all part of it and that was the issue.
Old cam follower showed little sign of wear which is good news.
Now it’s time for some mods. 😁😁

What brand of paddles extensions do you have fitted? Look good, after a set for my own

Good quality. There only a carbon insert but still nice to use when using the paddles I didn’t know if I liked them at first but love them now. Yea the mats really freshened it up I don’t know why people put in cheap mats at say £30 that end up scrap in months when a genuine set cost me £65 brand new from the dealer. Don’t get me wrong it has a few stonechips etc but for a 12 year Gti golf it’s straight and honest as they come. Definitely see me holding onto it for a while
very minor tidy up job both keys where missing the vw badge so ordered these will do until I either change the cases or fork out on the genuine carbon cases. Need to order centre caps and hopefully get the new grills fitted this weekend.

Refreshing to see a MK5 still in great condition. Only change I’d make would be a set of Monza II’s.
