ended up just buying a new one from bmw, £72 but at least i know i wont be in the same boat in 6mths time.

Big dave- there is mate yes, it's called BMW spares it's the last building at the roundabout just off dee street near odyssey. Was in the other day he not really the greatest guy to deal with but here's his number anyway. 07828314961 hope this helps
