I've a Mercedes here that was originally NI reg (know the reg) but it's now on Dublin plates. Just wondering if anyone has just applied for a new book and been successful instead of going through the registering process again?

Check the reg on the .gov tax check and see if the reg still exists, if it does, book an MOT under the reg and test it.

I had this with my Ford Explorer. It was Southern Reg but previously English Registered. They told me I had to go through the registration process which took forever. The only bonus was that I didn't have to pay the registration fee because it was already previously registered in the UK
