assistance required please

as i am selling almera i decided to swap the complete sound system into my lovely 5dr diesel megane runnabout to keep me going BUT for some reason i can't get anywhere near the same bass level the subs and amps appear to be working properly even built new proper capacity boxes! they sounded worse so went back to old boxes

im running kicker gear a kx400*1 amp and two of the old comp c15's (8 ohm svc) used to be great in the almera just can't get anything from her in the megane all you get is vibration from the boxes rather than a deffinative beat

please help!

Is it a common chamber box - the two subs could be out of phase. If yes, try swapping the wires across on one of the subs.

no they are sounding sh1t in both seperate boxes and a twin partitioned box
