Astra H (Mk 5) Heater problem

My sons Astra's heater wasn't 'blowing' Picked up a motor today from breakers, still no joy Got a brand new resistor from vx and still nothing. Went to pick him up in it and the aftermarket stereo which i fitted myself wasn't working. So i parked it up and went in my car to get him. I then realised that i had piggybacked the power lead onto the switched live on heater. So thats why radio has given up but I have checked all the relevant fuses and relays (I think lol). I'm stumped, any ideas for me to try tomorrow? Thanks.

you know they have two fuse boxes under bonnet and one in boot

Would I be able to take the load from the cigarette lighter?

20 amp should be adequate in most circumstances, but I think 30amp is more appropriate mate.
