Been putting this task off since I got the brakes done. Finally got round to painting the rear hubs. I’ve MTEC rear discs to match (ish) the front Clubsports and the hubs rusted really badly. Also fitted the summer wheels and spacers. My Makita impact wrench was dead handy for buzzing the nuts off and on. Torqued up properly with a torque wrench.

Rubbed down with wire wool and taped up

You can buy the R600 without the cover or leave the cover off for more noise
The mtecs are atrocious. I’ve painted them three times now (last time just last week) and the rust just keeps coming

It’s a pity VAG don’t do a drilled alloy bell version to match. The mtecs were cheap enough. I actually thought about buying a new set and painting them properly but not worth the hassle.

It's not the brand, they are all the same. You need to etch prime them properly from new and paint, even then they need topped up.

Wheels were already done but I cleaned the S Line winters to save me doing it when the time comes to swap.
Need to do the interior, door shuts and wheel arches at some stage but maybe next weekend.

The racingline stuff is a great addition to these, I've fitted a few of them although the one with the cotton filter is a little more expensive but as @Boydie said they dont suffer from the same deterioration.

Ps... we now have dealers for Racingline in Northern ireland ;)

Can you PM me a price for -

R600 with mesh filter
Coolant hose
Muffler delete
Turbo intake pipe
Turbo elbow

Cheers

I'll see what I can do, most stuff you'll find is all RRP, but if i have a few people interested in anything on the range I'll try and work a bit off it

Do you know if fitting any of the Racingline products keeps the Audi warranty intact? Assuming it does as its VAG approved. Some lovely gear!

Anything from 370-380bhp and a world of difference plus the TCU software

Warranty in those areas would be void I would think but knowing Audi Belfast, they would wiggle their way out of any type of warranty if changes were made - good think about the intake system on these, is that they are easily removed, a hour should do the lot from intake back to turbo so if you had to go in for warranty work then it wouldnt be a problem swapping over

So this lockdown is bad for the wallet 😮
Some Racingline stuff ordered with a view to getting it Revo’d when the warranty runs out.

No rush to fit them as I’ve done about 30 miles in 6 weeks. Thanks to @pobmk4 for sorting me out 👍🏻

Wanting to get the cotton filter and under coolant hose as well. Considering the racing line catch tank as well.

don’t lose your temper with fitting the R600 body, it’s very tight! Also, I’m not 100% sure if you remove this for instal but do it anyway, the light grey plastic either side of the Audi logo to allow more air flow.

Reckon I’ll give fitting this a bash myself as it looks straightforward enough based on the couple of YouTube videos I’ve watched. Need to get a pair of hose clip pliers first. Be a while before it’s fitted but no rush as the car has barely moved in 6 weeks.

How’d you do the coolant hose without it pishing everywhere?

The joys of small hands....I was able to plug the hole with my finger.

Fit the hose to the radiator side first and you shouldn't get any spillage or just a few drops.

Watch the wee nipple though as its fragile and could easily break.

I think I have a set. I’ll let you know and can drop off
