91 Civic 1.6 i-VT (EE9)

I've had my Civic for 6 years now, its gone through a lot of changes and I've learnt a lot from working on it. I got it almost stock with the stock B16A1, less than a year later I changed it to a B16B and its now got a built B20.

B16B was putting out 196hp and 9000rpms, the B20 was putting out 243HP but I've just made more changes to it, new rings, valve guides, stem seals, ATI crank damper, bigger injectors, slightly more compression and it will be mapped on my new Hondata S300 ECU, I'm hoping for 250hp.

Looks great. That's some power for such a small car.

Make sure you keep it well hidden and secure (y)

Really does look the part and its a credit to yourself, one of the best shapes of Civic imo and lightest with a serious engine to match

Are you ever going to put it on the track or is it too clean and rare for that?

Not likely I'll ever sell it, but I'll add you to the list of people interested.

Thanks guys, its got a great power to weight ratio, its not super light but it should weight around 960 - 970kg, if I can ever manage to do a tintop conversion I'd save about 20kg.

Very easy to embarrass much more expensive and more powerfull cars, compared to a MK5 Golf GTI which has 200hp but weighs around 1300kg its miles ahead.

I plan to take it to the track if I get a chance, only place to properly drive it, I'll not be going to crazy though, don't want any harm to come to it.

Thats easy to say but once you get onto the track you tend to push it harder each lap when the red mist decsends

My old fresh import EK9 stood me close to 12k when modified for the track and I drove it hard on the track but with your car its a lot harder to find an EF in that sort of condition etc

While this project is nearly done and I'm concentrating on my 260Z Project there is still some work being done on this. I've got 6 years of updates so I'll just post up some of the more relevant stuff to get this up to date to where I am with it today.

Here is what see looked like about 4 months after I got her:

Don't really get out much anymore, no where as much as I like, I've spent the last 3 years away from home most of the time, 6 months training and then my job, I only get home on Holidays, which at the moment is only about 10 weeks a year.

Great attention to detail, nice to see one of these that has been treated to some proper TLC.

Nice work on the rear bumper, freshens it up massively.

Savage civic lad. Mind seeing it at a jap show a few years ago at junction one, was so tidy then when it had the b16b in it.
