Just wondering has anyone used Colum at Banbridge motorworks? I am looking to get the rod bearings replace on my E92 M3 as a preventative measure and he seems to have done a couple of M cars etc. before although I have never used him so would be unsure on his workmanship.

Any advice is appreciated :grinning:

A lot of people have recommended him to me for doing timing chain, oil pump and guides on my N20. Appears to have a great reputation.

Have a search on here. Myself and loads of others use him, I wouldn’t go anywhere else and he was a factor in me buying another BMW!

Ive used him for a few services and repairs and always been happy with his work. Booked in with him again next week.

Just lifted a car from him last night, as said above he does a good job, but very practical at the same time which is rare to get!

Another endorsement for Colm here, there is no coffee and scones but you won’t get a better service, saved me a fortune by fixing the air suspension module on my X5 rather than just replacing it. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I’ve used Colm recently and thought he was good and honest. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t take your car to a certain specialist near Hillsborough what ever you do.

I was actually going to use said specialist until I seen your run in with him on here! I will certainly be staying away

Is colum located behind the Barbican Centra on the A1? Might call in for a little work myself going off the recommendations

So AM motor works? Cheers

Leave Banbridge heading for Lurgan/Portadown. Go past the school ( Banbridge Acadamy) on the right and you will reach Seapatrick. There is a set of traffic lights then a right turn with a dog groomers called "Comb and Bark" on the right. Go out that road for maybe 2 miles ish, and you will see Colms shed on the right beside an old farm cottage. There are no signs or anything , but there will be a couple of the workers BMWs parked on the road, and a few outside the shed.

You'll not meet a nicer fella, he doesn't piss about for weeks with your car as it is booked in and no one jumps the queue and he is reasonable to pay.

Don't be getting any bright ideas about running the lorry up it some day your working either, as it will be a balls getting it turned!!

Awesome thanks, that's where I figured it was after the post ruling out it was behind Centra.

Definitely won't go down in the truck, more so because I'm usually in the South so spinning to Banbridge from Newry is handier in the car anyways.

From the good words about him on here I don't doubt he's very good, so will definitely get round to speaking with him once I'm looking the work carried out. Thanks!

He’s off until Tuesday. Was speaking to him yesterday about getting the X5 booked in for a new transfer case 😔.

He def isn’t. I think that’s German motor works or something along those lines

Your right I'm getting confused between the two. Wayne at German Motor Works sorted me out when the timing slipped on my mk5 golf gti. Apologies about the confusion.

Speaking to a friend today who also has very good things to say about Banbridge Motor Works.
