Blackline Coilover Thread

Same as the spring thread, just for reference for everyone and to give you an idea of what we can get and what different options you have available for your car.

To kick things off we have this pair of Audi A6s, an avant and a saloon.

Both fitted with Prosport coilovers and aligned. These are an entry level coilover to suit the lower end of the budget but still very comfortable and reliable.

Next up is this trio of JDM heros all fitted with BC Racing Coilovers.

BC Racing are a fantastic coilover with height and preload separately adjustable and camber and dampening adjustment available on most applications too.

Really hard to beat for the money and we are able to convert these to use an air spring if you decide you want air suspension at a later date.

We had this cool little Nissan Juke Nismo in for BC Racing coilovers, Eibach spacers and a K&N intake.

I think it looks waayyyyyy better dropped down a good bit.

We had this A3 in last week to fit some KW coilovers. Very comfortable although this was them at their lowest setting.

For all the PD lovers out there we had this relatively low mile MK1 Leon FR in for a set of top spec ST coilovers last week.

Aiming for a fast road setup the owner opted for the ST XTA coilovers which are dampening adjustable and come with camber adjustable top mounts too!

He is coming back on Wednesday to have an upgraded front antiroll bar fitted and then he's off to England to have the engine completely rebuilt and tuned to over 350hp with a 100hp shot of nitrous too! We can't wait to see what that is like when he comes back.

Just a few coilover kits installed in the last few weeks and oddly they're all vans or at least van shaped

First was a Transit Custom we had in to fit Bilstein coilovers to. These don't go that low because of the design of the chassis in the rear particularly. There isn't a lot of drop available before the axle starts to contact the chassis legs so with that in mind we set it to be level all round.

The next one was this VW Touran to get a set of Stance+ coilovers.

Dropped quite a bit from factory and aligned to suit. Actually still quite comfy even with the drastic difference in height from standard.

Last but not least for this update was a Caddy van in for a set of ProSports. Decent wee entry level kit for these that doesn't break the bank or the back.

Another month and another van getting coilovers

This one got some Bilstein Komfort coilovers and a lovely set of 20" Rotiform RSE wheels and some neat stain black side bars.

We had this awesome RS6 in last week for some fancy KW coilovers with the HLS system.

Basically an extra low version of the normal coilover but with some hydraulic cups on each corner which allows for around 50mm of lift all round at the touch of a button to clear speed bumps or rough roads.

To be fair, with it being that kind of car, its a bit too low for me too personally but we'll happily accommodate a customer request to have it low within reason and safety. The hydraulic kit is great though to keep it useable and operates smoothly and pretty quietly too.

Jap import Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TFSI Quattro in for some ST coilovers last week.

Sensible drop in height for everyday driving but making it a lot more enjoyable to drive over the factory boaty suspension.

Also it has to be said working on imported cars is so much nicer. Far better condition underneath than stuff that's seen years of salted roads here.

Honestly, I never asked, but it was so much cleaner underneath than even much newer ones we've worked on here.

We also had forum member @300trophy leave his absolutely stunning Megane RS 300 Trophy (if the user name didn't give it away lol) in with us to install the KW V3 coilovers we supplied and some spacers he had from his previous Megane.

Thanks a lot guys for supplying and installing the coilovers. Really pleased with the car and can’t believe how comfortable these are even compared to the standard Trophy suspension - a brilliant upgrade!

The latest car through the doors for coilovers is this MK6 Golf.

We supplied and fitted some BC Racing Extra Low coilovers to this to improve the driving of it but retain the low static stance the owner prefers.

Been a while since I posted anything in here.

We had this lovely MK4 R32 in yesterday for an anti-roll bar upgrade.

We had previously supplied a set of KW V1 coilovers for this so we did some minor height adjustments and a 4 wheel alignment on it too whilst it was here.

Getting to be a rare sight on the roads these days.
