BMW e36 m3 catalytic converter rattling

Hi everyone the catalytic converter in my m3 is rattling and it’s doing my head in.I’ve checked online and it’s tricky to get a genuine used replacement.Someone I was talking to suggested I just decat it.Will it be legal if I done that?pass mot ok?
Seen I can get a supersprint decat for decent money.

Pre 2001 in NI will pass MOT without a cat from anyone I've asked and any info I've read. Get her out ta fook

Thanks thinking of buying that.Seen a Miltek one it’s more expensive and I can get from Germany for less.One on eBay looking more than a brand new one.

Is the underneath rust free? Being an M3 it's probably well looked after

My 328 exhaust I had to grind because the nuts and bolts holding the sections together had disintegrated

Yeah underneath is good.lol I can well believe

Likely the outer skin. Happened on mine and was able to get it tacked with a welder.

Sadly the mechanic said it was internal,and it’s getting worse the noise off it.so ordering that supersprint cat delete.

Yeah sadly I’ve tried to find a replacement and it’s not straightforward cause parts are becoming scarce.seen on one on eBay and they where looking £1000 too much like plus it didn’t look in good nick.managed to get the supersprint through a bmw specialist in Denmark so can’t wait

Cool I’ve read mixed results saying that the torque loss.in videos it sounds good.
