BMW E36 M3 EVO Estoril Blue

Well lads I’m back again.

This last few months I’ve been trying to find a real good example Version 6 Limited Type R Impreza but I had to gave up on them . .

Anyhow every cloud has a silver lining. I remembered talking to a gentleman one day at a Kirkistown track day an I remembered him saying to me “I’ve a real good m3 Evo at the house but it’s big money” .

So on Sunday I tracked him down, an yesterday I was at his house with an enclosed transporter an done the deal with him. This man has had this car in his possession for the last 20 years. It’s been very very well looked after over the years.

Car has all original paintwork and only 66,700 miles on the clock.

Today I ordered a full new set of Continental Sport Contact tyres for it at a good price obviously as I own a tyre depot and alloy wheel shop myself

I will actually drive this car myself an enjoy it on the roads but obviously only ever on a good day. I will however try an keep the miles down an keep the car in mint condition. I have a carcoon for it an it will stay in there inside my shed.

It’s nice to know I’ve got such a good example of an appreciating classic

I passed one yesterday in the exact same spec heading southbound on the A26 but it was on a recovery lorry so obviously not this one.

@evo98 just curious at to your choice on contis? I've driven a few audis with them fitted standard and never got on with them at all. Not saying everything needs to be on Michelins but personally never liked contis.

Only went for them because when they are brand new they come with Continental Tyres.
Ones I’ve ordered are Continental Sport Contact 5.

I know of a few Type R limited’s, quite a few of the boys on the Type RA forum have them but whether they would sell is another matter, prices on imprezas have went crazy recently, you couldn’t import one now without spending a right few £.

Aww My Favourite Car I would Love to own that ! Estoril blue is the best colour in these Looks lovely although if it were mine id have to source a set of Original diamond polished Motorsport alloys for it although the sunflowers do suit it well to. All the best with it hopefully you get plenty of sunny days in the summer to get her out & about, You never hardly see any of these on the roads anymore if i ever win some Big doe ill be having another one of these again for sure Health to enjoy all the best with her mate

Just a wee update on this. Had the car at work an up on the lift. Really really happy with the condition of it underneath.

I bought a new front splitter from prentice BMW at only £80 all In. The other one had a couple of scuffs so made sense just to buy a new one. Also sent the wheels away to MJE wheel repair for a full Refurbished they have done a great job. When I got them back I had the new Continetal Contisport Contact5 for them. Factory sizes 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rears.

Plans now! It’s booked in next week for a full detail and ceramic coat.
