New wheels painted and fitted. Not 100% sure on colour choice this time, but definitely growing on me. Sadly 1 of the rear wheels had a lot of filler masking some bad gouges, so going to have to keep an eye out for a replacement.

Also need new wiper blades. What does everyone use these days? I used Bosch Aero back in the day and recently Valeo, but neither last any length of time.

Bosch aerotwin still for me, tried others and always go back :grinning:
Not sure on the wheel colour either, probably much better in the flesh

I think the wheels look class. It’s just in the shade for pictures. I always end up getting genuine blades on eBay for cheap and they last far better.

Still sticking with bosch aerotwin. Especially if it does motorway/duel carriageway miles. Less inclined to lift at speed

A photo out of the shade would make the wheels look better.

Been using Bosch for the past while with no issues.

I prefer the original wheels to be fair.

As for blades, both are good, but I think Valeo are generally better quality.

Grey works with the silver imo, not sure on wheel choice though maybe some better photos!

Can't decide what colour to paint the X5 wheels myself.

I’m not a bit fan of the original wheels. When they’re dirty I hate the spokes that are set back.

Ive always loved a twist style wheel! So easy to clean too.

I’d go Ferric.

Another vote for the original wheels, are the new ones smaller?

Silver was an option, but because the car is a pearlescent finish I don’t think it would work.

Alas it’s sitting outside my window here as I “work”, and I think they look well!

Sold I’m afraid, but still on the forum. 1 of those cars I really wish I’d kept. It did everything so well and was a great example of an X3 too.

The transfer case went on it (as it did on my x5 too), but it was replaced under warranty. Other than that I don’t recall having any issues. I’d definitely go for the 30D and not the 20D, the 6 cylinder is much more refined.

We’ve had it about six months now, it’s been perfect, zero faults. It’s a nice size, big enough for five but not as wide as the X5 and easier to park. Definitely recommend one.
