That would have been us heading down to Tropicana for meet a few mates after getting a bit to eat at the top of the town. Left there around 5-ish to go dolphin spotting at Greencastle... 🤦‍♂️

What’s the craic with the boat? Ya buy 1?

haha, literally any excuse for a run!

Yeah we got a little fishing one, supposedly a Colvic Seafarer of sorts with 2.5d ford lump. Four of us have been looking for a while now and this one came up, floats and goes so deal was done.
Good group of lads down there too it seems, all look out for each others with a good load of locals too. No ribber though!

Been a while from I updated, and as I’m now 8,000 mile into R1200GS ownership, I figured I’d throw up a few pics of her travels...

Set off to complete the NC500 in Scotland mid-September with @Alan_B after a last minute decision to go on a trip which ended up being over 1100 miles from Friday morning to Sunday evening and I couldn’t have asked for a better machine to tackle to trip on. The roads, the weather, the traffic pulling over and giving way to us at every opportunity, the people we met, the views etc, all absolutely fantastic, and made for a hell of a good trip.

Over in Cairngorms National Park which was phenomenal for the bikes, and not a car to be seen for most of it...

Up in the Highlands at an abandoned ski resort.

1 of the many wind turbine roads we seen, but the only 1 we travelled. Made of rough stone, but at the push of a button the suspension settings were changed and the traction control disabled to make passage a breeze, and a little entertaining... Even the Tracer coped well.

Will make a point of going back over and taking more time to go off the beating track and explore more of what Scotland has to offer in the North.

Took a trip up round Slieve Gullion with the wife and took the opportunity to get a few pics too.

With winter upon is and no chance of me parking the bike up, she got a healthy dose of ACF50 after some stripping down and another service at the same time. Air box is a wee skitter to get to, so figured I’d do all while I was in that far.

A couple of weeks ago I was at a loose end so set of for a wee Sunday run which involved a run to Ballycastle and over to the Dark Hedges. I know it’s closed to through traffic, but technically I wasn’t going through, just up the lane a bit and back 😂

With all this winter riding, it’s nice to know I’m getting all the dirt off her, and the only way to do that is to wash top and bottom, so over she goes for a belly wash...

Plenty more trips planned for the upcoming new year, and all going well, there’ll be a lot more miles completed.
