Also I knew they were quick but didn't realize there 0-100mph in around 5secs quick from a standing start.

Is that really right? They are about 300-350bhp, in 1280kg. Should be 0-60 around 4 seconds, give or take. 0-100 just under 10 probably?

That's what Tim Harvey said, sounds a bit quick to me, tho with the 6 speed sequential low ratio box, Lsd etc they would accelerate quicker than a road car the same power.

Also there 350bhp+, power was up a few years ago.

What's the story with Plato's comments? Is the Subaru quick in a straight line, but rubbish round the bends?

He's never happy unless he's winning all the time.

Some cars are faster on the straights than Subaru basically, anyway it's a circuit that suits fwd better so they done well anyway.

If he feels he has any sort of disadvantage no matter how small he'll complain about it.

He is always moaning when not winning, lol, just how he is. Then he finds some loophole or other and gets himself an advantage for himself and all is well again  Just Plato doing what Plato does.

Was surprised how much better Turkington was going this weekend compared to Plato. They are usually closer. Colin has had the measure of Plato this season.

Seems to be great respect and camaraderie between most of the teams.

Tbh he's lucky the passager side was hit, the door bars/X bars were rightly pushed in.

that was a cracking weekends racing yesterday with the exception of Plato being his usual self and fairly disappointed in Collard's response to him and Turkingtons clash.

Only caught Race 2 and 3 but both were really exciting races. Always love the racing at Knockhill.

Just caught up on the Knockhill race, was brilliant! Usually more of a procession round there, but not this time, plenty of proper racing all through the field.

Unlucky for Colin after all the hard work all weekend, but hey, how it goes sometimes.

Still cannot believe Sam Tordoff is sitting at the top of the table, lol :grinning:

Not a bad days racing, shocking 2nd race for Turkington but a 4th and 3rd in the 1st and 3rd race isn't bad. Done a great job fighting through from 15th in the last race.

12 race winners this year so far with Smith winning the last race, new record for the BTCC history books.

Only got to watch the 3rd race. Turkington was on fire!

I read that he got penalty points on his race license for things in race 1 and 2?

Yep, he jumped the start in race 1 (I think), didn't see any of the other races unfortunately.

Possibly missed over the weekend, but BMR weren't done whinging and BTCC were happy to respond, again.
BTCC | TOCA responds to amended BMR statement

The fact that the Levorgs are just as quick in most of the races as the equivilent cars (e.g. the BMWs) just highlights how absurd the BMR position is.

Read that. Is all this just not a response to JP being an ass as usual and BMR having to issue an official report? Only time he is not moaning is when he is winning, yet his team mate is winning and promoting the brand with so much more class

Pretty much. As the BTCC say, they can't expect F1-style regulation and parity with the variety of models in the roster this year and the system in place works and works well. The racing is varied and exciting and has produced a record 12 winners so far. BMR would do well to tell JP to pipe down and get on with the job.

Agree, as much as I like Jason he is way off the mark this time. But this is how he has always played the game, push for as many concessions and advantages as possible.

As others have said, Colin seems to be doing just fine, lol :grinning: Brilliant clean racing too, none of the "paint scraping" and pushing people off the track like some of the others!

Rockingham was pretty torrid for Subaru, but the last race was brilliant, Colin going like a demon

Do any of yous remember the speed advantage Plato had in the Seat Leon TDI's?

If he was in front coming onto the oval/straight at Rockingham he couldnt be passed, it just pulled away from anything behind it.
