Hi,

Looking at one of these as they fit 3 car seats and very good value. I've been reading and worried about it's wet belt. It's in the oil or something. Is this a huge reason to avoid it?

Cheers

It’s a service item and is nothing to worry about as long as you abide by the service intervals and use the correct oil.

Most of the failures I’ve encountered have been down to ignorance on the owner’s part.

I've seen posters on Citroen forums say avoid the 1.2 petrol at all costs.

Might give Charles Hurst a call tomorrow and see what they say about their 1.2.

Wouldn’t put me off tbh.

I would budget for a wet belt service as soon as you buy it though. Peace of mind and all that.

Hurst’s might tell you it’s been done but I wouldn’t trust them to tell me the time.

I imagine a 1.2 Turbo petrol in a car that size would be painful.
