I really enjoyed Saturday. Coming from a rallying background, I was a bit apprehensive what it would be like TBH, but @PhilM talked me into going and I will definitely be back at another Hillclimb.

Really chilled out atmosphere and really easy to spectate at - watch all the cars go past, wander further up the hill, watch the cars go by again, dander up to the next bend and watch them go past again.

Would definitely recommend it to someone who wants to watch some closed road racing without having to deal with the logistics of going to a rally or the crowds at bike racing. The access you can get in the 'pits' area is second to none too.

I'll definitely be at a few more to see what they are like anyway.

Its so strange seeing single seaters like @RickyMcG 's on public roads. There is some serious equipment running as tin tops too with the spaceframed mini and the noise of the Escort Cosworth is unreal.

The next one is here: http://reallymeansounds.com/forum/threads/garron-point-hillclimb-22th-aug.181842/

I'll be missing it as I'm on honeymoon but I'd suggest anyone interested should head along.
