car recomendation for 4k

hey folks I've got my eye on a few cars.

at the moment I'm for a fiesta mk5 zetec-s but I want to know what other people recomend. remember I've no no claims bonous, but I've been drivind got 5 years.

something with a bit of poke, easy to insure and looks good. about 4k sterling or 6k euro :grinning:

mk4 astra 1.6 16v- 100bhp, group5 insurance, looks nice and can easily be got for £4k

anything old, buy it for a few hundred quid, and spend thousands on the engine, in such a way if it is ever crashed, insurance will have to strip it to empty to work out what it is!

106 gti, but is likely to be a high miler for 4k - laughs at zetec-s's . i just love them :grinning:

1.8 focus group 7 insurance 115bhp 0-60 in under 10 secs and very easily tuned - ive mine up to 136bhp with just a 4 branch, de cat and mongoose! Just as quick as the 2.0 too due to the difference in gear ratios

you'd get a 98/99 for £4k if you looked really hard :grinning:

Vtec anything if you can get insurance, or if your after something a few groups lower what about a 106 rallye?

Mr Slinky... 5 years Driving and No NCB ? Phone Round insurance companys and see what sorta NCB they'll they you for this ...
I think Quinn Direct will start you off with about 20% 5 Years Driving you must be 22 Atleast? I'd say you'd have no bother insuring a Civic at that :laughing:

agreed, vti is wot i will be after, if u can afford insurance

yup I'm 22 been under mums insurance for the last 5 years, lol so no claims bounous, I was tihnking of a 106 gti but I want sometihng a bit more solid after takin a spin in my mates. very uninspiring drive tbh!
