After months and months of looking at various Caterhams, Westfields, Atom's and even normal cars like Audi R8's I made a decision!

A 620s, for those that don't know it's a 2.0 Duratec with a supercharger giving 310bhp with a manual box.

Options are-
Lowered floors
Heated carbon seats
Led headlights
13" wheels
Aero front wishbones
Trackday roll bar
Carbon wings
Carbon effect leather
Painted grill
Pearl paint
Twin stripes and side graphics

It's currently making its way to me on a trailer having left the south coast of England yesterday.

That is class, must be bonkers to drive on the road!

Solely a road car for you or will you track it?

Might do a trackday but it would just be to let it loose.

They are THE most fun to drive car at any price in my opinion and isn't why we all love cars?
That is going to be fun!

620 meaing 620bhp/ton as a I recall?

One of my favourtie laps ever on top gear

And you have an extra 120bhp/ton :-D

I'd have bought an R500 but the only nice one for sale this year has been a dark green one and to me the colour is +o(

That will be a hoot to drive. Is that Renault liquid yellow?
Yes, Caterham call it detonator yellow but it's Renault liquid yellow.

Awesome! Would love to be able to buy a Caterham in kit form someday and spend a few months building it.

That said I wouldn't say no to a pre-built one like yours. Gorgeous colour and health to steer (y)

That looks the nuts. I've always wanted to build one.

What are your plans for it?

It’s like a wasp! It makes a standard sized number plate look massive too, in terms of acceleration this has to be one of the quickest motors currently on RMS?

Very nice indeed and you certainly picked something that requires driver involvement!

certainly not too many modern cars provide the 'fun' factor or 'drive' anymore.

Well, it arrived today at 3 in an enclosed trailer and it was dry so of I went, beanie hat on, heated seat on and heater on.

27miles later and my thoughts are, it's going to take some getting used to!!!! 2nd gear and the throttle is just wheel spin control:joy:
The roads need to be warmer and dryer to be confident in using 3rd and 4th gear at big speeds.

The led lights are cool

And the fiddling has begun already, polished stainless screws in place of black on the wheel

they can be a handful on the road even in summer... and even on decent soft tyres smithers..... that blue thing i had would spin the wheels in 4th off the throttle... and that was on the softest ACB10 you can buy !!!

at least they are progressive(ish) and don't tend to snap like some road cars. the heated carbon seats must be great !
