Not on this much anymore and never posted in the bike section but thought I'd fire up a few pictures of my CBR600 f4 ultima light .First 'big' bike and I absolutely love it and don't have the same interest in cars now haha it's a fresh one with now 16k miles and I've a bit of OCD so it's had a good going through and things replaced it never needed replaced 😂

Thanks lads, just booked the TT for next year so that will be something to look forward to on it. Definitely isn't low and the throaty noise of the carbs is hard to beat

Definitely don’t see many anymore. I sold mine in 2013 and it’s been sorned ever since. I’ve always wondered if it’s just lying somewhere in pieces or what happened to it.

I did some light restoration over the winter before I sold it but I lost faith in it after that.

How do you mean lost faith? My mates bike was missing down low so we rebuilt the carbs and it's been a complete nightmare but first ride last night and it's better than ever just need to balance them. The noise of the carbs is hard to beat lol

It had reasonably high miles, it had started running hot and the plastics were rough. A lot of the rubber hoses for the air injection system were done.

I think lost faith is probably the wrong way of putting it I just didn’t want to put anymore money or time into it. It really needed a proper restoration with a new swing arm, rear shock and fork overhaul.

I had the carbs ultra sonically cleaned when I had it apart and had then properly set up and balanced once it was built.

I think it may have had head work done on it at some point as there was letters on the head done with an engraver. It would power wheelie in first and second gear.

Can you remember the reg? I've one lying here that's been off the road from about then....has around 40k on it

Wanting to get my lower forks restored, any idea what would be the best type of paint that doesn't look too shiny? Maybe a Matt lacquer after?
