Picked this up during the week with 8500 miles on it. Last owner had it 10 years. Couple of wee bits and pieces done to it.

My bike history has went Street Triple 675 - Tiger 1050 - now this. Loved the Street Triple but it was time to change, so bought the Tiger. Didn't gel with it at all. So I didn't know what to buy, browsing classifieds everyday for a couple of months. And this was the first thing to take my fancy.

That's a really good looking bike and seems right and clean too!

Good that you're trying different types of bikes too

Cheers, yeah I've sat on a couple of sports bikes before and thought nah, too uncomfortable. But after a couple of runs on this I'm getting to like it!

That looks an immaculate example, HTR!

How do you find it in terms of power delivery, handling & stopping vs the 2 Triumphs?

It's hard to compare the 3, the Street Triple I would recommend to anyone, light, agile and pretty quick for having only 105bhp. Lots of grunt. Stopped just fine, it wasn't an R so didn't have the bigger calipers, but you only really need those for track I'd say.

The Tiger was so different, a good enough bike in its own right, pace was actually similar to the 675, despite it being a 1050. I didn't mind that though, it still went the best. Downsides for me were, it was top heavy, too tall for me, I couldn't get rid of the horrendous wind noise, and it was a wee bit uninspiring. That type of bike I guess.

The Fireblade is totally different. I bought it on condition, I'd never ridden a sports bike. But I happen to love it. Once you've got used to the crouched over position, it's fine. The bike feels light, and handles really well. And it has serious power so needs treated with manners. Most of the power is up top being a 4 cylinder, but really it doesn't lack anywhere. Plenty of torque. A lot of bike for the money I think.

Just getting a chance to flick through the paperwork for this, I'm a bit of a sucker for this kind of stuff 😬 a few pics of all the factory stickers still intact on the bike
