Civic 2.2 cdti clutch release bearing?

My 2006 workhorse has developed a rattling/grinding noise when the clutch is lightly pressed in or just at the end of letting the clutch pedal out. It Doesn’t do it when the clutch is fully released and sitting in neutral or when fully pressed in. No issues selecting gears, would it be the release bearing? It had a new clutch and flywheel about 1.5 years (30k miles) ago. I’ve attached a quick video of the noise but can’t seem to attach it.

I had the same as you describe on an ST mondeo before and that's exactly what it was.
