I went to do some googling of the interior there, is that it with regards to display?! No screen? Just a red dot matrix thing?

Yea, speaking from experience the VXR cockpit toys aren't winning them any prizes compared to the competition. Although, like me, if you're coming from a Vauxhall it probably won't bother you that much as the MK5 VXR wasn't much better in terms toys. Typical Vauxhall but I guess there has to be some trade-off for the price of the VXR vs the others.

So you just get the red bit at the bottom of the steering wheel, otherwise it looks like inside a 1.0L Adam?

The basic interior has the red screen Yeah, you can get a 7 inch screen, the navi 950 intellilink which is what was in the one I drove.
Is this actually the VXR interior? My brother has the current generation across VXR and it looks ten times better than that.

Money.
In all fairness they felt very similar, so the money I was saving really tipped the scale for me.
