I just watched this again, great committed driving over a fast stage in the wet. He came 2nd overall to a local Mull driver in a Fiesta WRC and there wasn't much in it. Hopefully Mull runs this year, would love to go and see it.

Serious car that Escort, the difference in spec between that and your top Escort from 15 years ago is crazy. Makes you wonder how much further they can go with them in another 10 years.

Hard to see where they can go with them at the moment, it has as much power as can be used and they are pretty light as they are so how much further would you want to take it? It's fun as they are and that's what those classes should be about.
I'm sure something new will come along at some point for people to spend more money on them though.
