Usually drive really easy for about 100 miles, trying not to give it too much throttle etc no high gear, low rev pulls, no riding the clutch then after this period slowly build up to normal use over another 400-500 miles

this is how u would run in an engine, the clutch should benifit from normal or aggressive use to bed it in. then normal thereafter

Is that how you're bedding in those spark plugs :p

Nope, out of the box and use as per normal

disagree, if the flywheel is glazed or grooved horsing the clutch a bit would scuff it off a bit and let the plates bed into the grooves a bit, but to be honest it wont be noticeable so fit and go..

Surely much the same as brake pads then, once it has worn into the grooves it has maximum surface area being mated and will work at its most efficient (i do understand grooves arent ideal, but they do happen)

Depends on the clutch.

Exedy clutch kits ALL need bedded in for instance. Anyone tells you different, then just get in touch with Exedy themselves and they'll say minimum 500 miles of light use to bed in a new clutch kit.
