i completely forgot I’d started a thread on this, I might as well do a wee update...
Carbs are now done, starts perfectly hot or cold and seems a bit livelier down low too
After winter I dug it out of the shed to find that the paint on the front wheel had gone all funny, so I took the opportunity to go gold...
Really glad I did, I think it looks much better with a bit more colour to it now.
Santa was kind enough to bring me a samco coolant hose kit and a new radiator, my old hoses were tired looking and the fins were all bent and missing on the old radiator.
Next job was to get my LED indicators wired up with resistors and a few other bits of the wiring loom replaced and tidied up as it was in pretty bad shape. I also added heated grips... “b!tch grips” as I’d heard a few people say they’re worth having and I now completely agree. Unfortunately I managed to break the already slightly cracked throttle tube in the process so that had to be replaced:
Next up was some carbon fibre coating on the plastic bits and pieces that weren’t rothmans colours:
And that pretty much brings it up to date so far apart from a few stickers here and there, still a few things on the to do list but it’s getting there...
