Great motors... very classy shape and design

Dunno if I’d have the plums to actually go buy one though with the financial implications lol

Thanks Lyons, I knew you'd appreciate a classic bimmer!
Health to waft! still love these, they’ve aged really well
They look so mean, pre facelifts maybe not so much though

When they're looked after I think they're fine, cant be any worse than the 540 lol

That really is lovely, one of the nicest looking big cars BMW have ever made. It looks like a particularly good one too, and a great spec. Health to drive

I remember when David Prentice used to drive around in one of these with the DP reg on it. Was the first car I remember seeing on the roads with Xenon headlights and back then looked like it was such an expensive luxury car. Would love to own one some day. They've aged really well. Health to drive!

Way back in 2008 i owned a 750i identical looking to this, silver in black with the same wheels.

I owned it for a grand total of 5 weeks, just to have the experience of having one. And the colour choice was totally influenced by "The world is not enough"

Health to drive

I share the same sort of memories, they simply oozed money.

Oh, I didn't realise you meant THAT one.

E38s can be fairly trouble-free, given they have seldom been thrashed and people are scared to buy them because "running costs", so they generally get bought by people that are prepared to foot the money to look after them.

I never thought until later but i swapped the sunroof motor for the e39s just to get the 740 shut as it tends to rain here.. alot!
