Finally got the alpinas on. My bedroom feels so much bigger since 21" rims have moved out
Valves on 90% of alpinas (apart from ancient models like e24s) are steel and threaded into one spoke off the alloy. Makes the wheels really clean looking as the valves are hidden under the centre caps
Had to heat the alloy up to allow the steel valve to be fitted otherwise the threads would have stripped :monkey: so that was nerve wrecking as a replacment alloy is £900 of bmw and a full set is 7k :mask:
You might even need an e65 b7 Vin to order them, thankfully that isn't happening
I know it needs lowered 8o| but I'll leave that to next year since I've only 1 month left to enjoy the e38
Some pics have a filter, don't. Tryna convert the lemon slice haters ;)
Found it very difficult to get good pics of the wheels on the car. In real life they carry much more presence!
Thanks
Steve

She's only a baby, 728i. Think the colour is ascot green. Looks well when sitting polished up. See a set off Alpina wheels on gum tree there for E38

That looks incredible. The wheels are flipping massive!! Love the attention to detail on this wagon. Dropped she will be mint

Stilll not digging the lights - can you get a full amber indicator? The lemon slice looks lost to me

Thanks @Rob. Yeh u can get full amber, that blue alpina b12 ^ has them. I think they will tie in once the headlights are buffed or new lenses fitted. I've plans on splitting the lights so I'll sort all that out then. I thought they would have been nicer but since they cost so much and took ages to get, i want to give them every chance before giving up on them

Me and dad were at the mechanics getting a piece of glass glued onto the tail light of his car :joy:
Yea my dad is a relation so it was more calling round for a chat sort of thing
Anyway, I folded and asked him to sort out my seized brake calliper and he did

That then led to me asking him to properly diagnose the front suspension issue.. which he did.
One thing led to another and it’s now booked in for him to replace all the front arms. I just can’t be bothered lol

The kit arrived today, only two arms are giving trouble but I’ve decided to make sure it’s perfect for the next owner as it was perfect when I bought it

He also fixed the door brake by fitting a new pin which is great, I no longer get a bruise on my ankle every time I get into the car

There are a few more smaller things which need sorted before I advertise it.
I’m really not looking forward to letting this one go. It’s been an amazing daily driver, I’m gutted I didn’t get doing with it what I wanted. But I have to move on
