Changed the leaky sump gasket today and everything looked great, no nastys in the pan

Took a notion of keeping the car since a friend told me I would never get another one, and I can’t stop thinking about it.
If I sell this, by the time I find the perfect e38 750iL, they might be ludicrously expensive (some already are!)
So I’d be left with no e38 and regretting I sold one of the last 740 Sports

Besides, I always wanted a 750iL, now I’ve got one.. the v12 itch is satisfied, so I might as well enjoy one of the best e38 models they made

There’s 2 weeks of insurance left on it, I can’t re insure it (this year), so if it doesn’t sell in the 2 weeks I’m keeping it

I might cheat and only advertise it in the last week

If I keep, I’ll tidy it up, put the alpinas back on, lower it a smidge and fit M5 mirrors like the car below

Am I mad wanting to keep it? Be honest..

Having one you know has no hidden problems means a lot too

Finally got the front lenses polished and I hate to say this but.. I’m going off the lemon slices
Black grille with clear indicators is really tempting me right now. Maybe I just need new lenses idk.. I’ll probably just get new ones

Also fixed/replaced the front broken grille
Thankfully I can keep the 740. I can’t wait to take it off the road to start work. I’ve a lot planned for it

Once I get the 540s headliner dyed and put back in for mot it’s back in the front line of daily duties
