I love the work of the coupe bumper on the touring - it makes the front wheels really sit out, and looks so aggressive.

I was really impressed with the overall effect of a lot of a lot of smaller subtle changes

Who’s that fat bearded bloke in the background of the last pic? Looks like a right shady barsteward!

Car looks seriously good in the flesh though. I definitely had some envy when comparing it to mine lol

Camber top mounts arrived today and some rear camber arms appeared in the garage after @JH86 last visit so I'm assuming I've bought them lol

It all depends how far you want to go lol.

I was determined to have my headlights entirely black, but not tinted at all. I didn't want anything to lower performance, so any tints was a no no for me.

The solution I ended up with was a bit complicated.

For the dipped/main beam that was easy, as a projector lens would look black when off in a black housing.

My DRLs and LED side lights are white, but I have sunk them deep inside 20mm tubes so you can only see them when on.

The aux LED main beam and LED indicators presented more of a challenge.

For both, i bought 2 pairs of these cheap lights

I only wanted them for their casing and lens.

For the indicators, i got rid of the outer light, took the lens of and sanded/etched the flat side of the lens so it difussed the then replaced the LED with an high output amber one.

Total pain in the ass, but I have bright indicators that are black when unlit without tinting anything.

PS that was the 3rd incarnation and the solution I settled on finally.

Just this cheap film I found on eBay and decided to try it. I’ve done all the lights in this stuff and can’t complain about it at all.

So.

Camber top mounts went in tonight. The difference in size of the top mounts from the standard drops it around 15-20mm without adjusting the coilovers. Quick measurements show about -4° of camber in the front and also added a 10mm spacer for good measure.

Still need to do the rears but for the mean time I’m super happy with how the front is sitting!!

(plus a few blurry rolling shots from a friends phone )

For everyone’s information, Hammy is supposed to have sorted me with rear springs, so it’s his fault the back isn’t lowered yet

Thanks man, can’t honestly say it’s ever bothered me if I’m honest. What really bothers me at the minute is not having centre caps - they seem to have gone missing around the time the wheels were refurbed and I can’t for the life of me remember where they went. So I’m on the lookout for some JR ones to replace them!

I might still raise the front slightly, as much as I love how it looks it’s a bit stressful

I also stuck some LED full beam bulbs in today.

The bi-xenon is great but because it runs off the main ballast I can’t flash the full beams unless the headlights are on. So just fired some standard H4 LED bulbs in to see what they’re like.

That’s the point dude, I maybe should have stuck it in the wrong hole instead!

So therefore as my earlier reply implies, no I haven’t stuck something in the wrong hole!

As much as I love the look of no front plate, it does bring a bit of unnecessary attention and in my line of work I could do without that

So got a friend of mine to make me up a wee bracket using a spare towing eye just so there’s something on the front.

I know it doesn’t look great but it does the job and stops the unwanted attention lol
