Haven't done one of these in quite a few years!

After just shy of 3 years and 80k of driving my 05 320d the only thing cheap I could think to replace it with was another 3 series 🤦‍♂️. After getting a dog I decided an estate version would be handier. Found this 08 E91 with 124k on it locally, bodywork is great from afar but far from great. Had a heap of history and 2 previous owners and was at the right money so bought it. That was August last year and it's been great, 144k on it now and just needed an alternator and servicing.

Got the wheels referbed in ferric grey and had 4 maxis HP5s fitted by Ivan (great tyre) windows were then tinted by ad a tint fired a peronal reg on and that basically it. Car does 700 miles a week commuting to work and back with ease.

An X5 has been on my radar for quite some time, despite having never been in one let alone drive one I wanted one, slowly convinced Clare over time that she needed one too. With the absolute melt that this last year has been and given I couldn't bare to look at the Qashqui any longer I started browsing the classifieds, found one locally and decided to 'have a look' to see what we thought of them with a view to maybe getting one in a few months time. So that deal was done very quickly after a test drive..... Clare wasn't sure on an auto wasnt keen and liked manual cars, one month on she looks at my car in disgust with its manual box and actually managed to stall it recently 😂. Shes converted, as am I.
09 with 103k 3 previous owners, prentice history.

Have fitted black kidneys, need to paint the bumper grilles black as atm it looks a bit daft atm. Have new centre caps to go on to tidy the wheels up abit whilst I decide if I want to paint them ferric grey or just silver again. Gave it a clean up today, have to say I generally just love everything about it.

The nav makes some difference to the inside of the E91, brings it up to date! Looks great on the dark wheels.

X5 is lovely too, once you have an auto jeep it’s very hard to go back to a car for running about in lol

Absolutely lovely.

Miles better and more appealing to any of the trash BMW are releasing currently.

Bought some spacers off @ian 20mm rear and 15mm front but the bolts were the wrong fitment, got some new ones delivered today so hopefully get them on this weekend, cars going for another service 2 rear shocks and a wheel speed sensor! Recently got another set of rear tyres off @RubberLover, went for MAXXIS again as couldn't fault them. Got some bulbs off @Woodcutter too.

missed this - both cars looking great Gav!

Who did your wheels?

Michael done them, good from afar but for the money they cost and the purpose of the car they're grand.

Could well have been mate cheers, what were you in? Absolutely bogging after a weeks commuting.

Some before and afters of the spacers fitted, 10mm would probably do the front but it's grand, no rubbing. Both need another good clean!
