E92 M3 Specialist needed

Hi,

Looking for an BMW specialist preferably around the Ballymena area but I will travel for the right person! I've been trying David Hyndman and Tullymore Road Motors all week but no answer I want someone who knows M3's inside out rather than some guy who serviced one or saying they'll give it a go!

I have a small oil leak below the car and I suspect it coming from the DCT sump so it isn't the sort of thing I want to mess up by wrecking the gearbox! Was going to try JKC but I would imagine prices being through the roof for that kind of work.

Theres a BMW guy in Broughshane I used when I had my E39 years ago, cannot remember his name though. Maybe Paul something.

Not Ballymena but give Railway Auto Spares in Ballynahinch a shout they are BMW specialists and have built numerous M3 race cars so know their stuff.

Nope, bought the car privately unfortunately so that's out the window.

Must take a look and see what they are like.

Yea that's Paul Crawford (Tullymore Road Motors) who I've been trying to get a hold of! He is the man for the job but sooooo hard to get the hold of now.

Very true I tend just to take a run out to the yard if I need anything as I don’t live too far away. Although anytime I go into the yard theres always a few people queuing up so he’s always flat out

Is it not just the plastic oil sump pan filter leaking?? Usually crack and leak. Shouldnt be that expensive in Country Garage to get the Gearbox Flushed and New Sump/Filter

See this is what I’m hoping it is, if it’s just that I’ll leave it to the country garage but some day about the mechantronics unit on the side leaking so the gearbox might have to come out. If I can get a look at it myself on a ramp I can see where it’s coming from then take it from there.

Does he live down the longest lane ever? A guy rescued me near Coleraine when my 1 series broke a spring and fixed that day. I know he used you for the parts while decent fella.

Was speaking to him actually, quite far from me but if I can't get David next week I'll be going to Rhys. He didn't seem too sure about the DCT box although is keen to take a look. Have you used him before?

I worked with Rhys, John Leacocke, Bainbridge motor works (Colm Hyland) and the before mentioned William Saunderson in Bavarian. Every one off them guys knows their stuff and I would recommend any off them. I know Rhys has the up to date software etc as I 've used it in the past for stuff off my own and his yard must have about 40 cars sitting in it any time I'm up so I wouldn't let one person's bad experience put you off from going there. Colm Hyland I think has the up to date software etc aswell so any off them guys you can't go wrong
