Depends on what. The customer is asking for.
If its an internet wishlist hes supplying then it all goes out the window pretty quickly. So many times people over spec a camshaft, intake size etc without even knowing what works as a combination of parts. To make use of cams does there need to be a compression raise , headwork etc etc.
Most novices shoot for the moon in their head but a good engine builder will soon have them firmly back on terra firma. If the customer is supplying parts theres a can of worms with warranty, fit for purpose and how much work is needed to make them fit the application.
Best to talk with the builder first in every case.
