Cheers for the input guys. I do like the front splitter but I’m indecisive....I would really like to see one fitted before I buy.

Also I think I mentioned somewhere in the thread that I wasn’t best pleased with the handbrake gaiter which Royal Steering Wheels produced for me. It was too short and the stitching was far from straight which looked daft. I contacted them and they agreed to redo the work. I also wanted the armrest trimmed in alcantara so they got a little bit of extra business from me 😊.

Would really love alcantara centres on the seats like the Trophy but think I’ll stop for now! All the parts should tie in well once fitted.

Currently using Auto Finesse Total to clean the alcantara but the bottle is running out. Perhaps @big_pete can help out with what else to use? I do have a bottle of Gtechniq Tri-Clean - would that do the job?

So the tinkering continues....

I fitted the gloss black front badge cover and RS badge a while ago. I also got a badge cover for the rear badge along with a replacement Renaultsport badge which I got round to fitted today.

The alcantara armrest and handbrake handle cover arrived back from Royal yesterday. I fitted them today and gave the interior a little clean, removed the seat covers and took some photos. The steering wheel, gearstick gaiter, handbrake gaiter, handbrake handle cover and armrest have now all been retrimmed in alcantara with red stitching. The stitching ties in well with the red seat belts, pinstripe on dashboard and of course the colour of the car 🚗! The Trophy came with alcantara/leather Recaro’s which would be a nice addition but I would struggle to find a set for sale let alone a set as mint as mine so I’ll knock that idea in the head 🤪.

What’s next? Well a 20T hybrid turbo has come up for sale 🤣. Project 360/360? 🤣🤪

That interior is lovely. I’m really not a Renault man, but your thread is making me want one of these.

Project 360/360 sounds great. Get it done.

Had a couple of days off to myself last week with switching job (hence the Yaris being sold so quickly after buying it!). I ordered up some Osram chrome indicator bulbs just to remove the little bit of orange on the rear. The bulbs actually still look quite orange in the pic below, much more chrome than orange!

It was also a bit dirty in behind the tail lights once removed. I know that no one will ever see behind there but cleaned it up a bit also 🙄

Over the last while I have thought about ditching the Cup 2 tyres. Don’t get me wrong they are very very good with a bit of heat in them but when cold or in wet weather they can be sketchy - I wanted a more ‘all round’ performer. After reading many different reviews I opted for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in OEM size 235/35/19.

I might be taking part in a private track day later in August and might keep the Cup 2’s on until then and take the remaining life out of them or if I decide not to bother with the track day then I’ll hopefully have them on sooner 😊

All has gone rather quiet with the Megane! I moved jobs at the beginning of the month which is keeping me very busy. I did get the car out a good run a couple of Fridays ago, came home from work and the weather was good. Figured it could be one of the last nice summer evenings before the weather turns. Headed down the Ards Peninsula, back up to Belfast with a little rip over Craigantlet - roads where quiet which made it enjoyable :grinning:

Then last Sunday I met up with a friend who had brought his Evora on the charity run I helped with earlier in the month. He had won car of the day and a photoshoot with @Reno_LV . Took a spin down for a chat! Not only does he own the Evora GT430 but he also has a Megane Trophy R which is obviously right up my street 🤓.

Couple of photos from the day;

Some upgrades coming for the Megane over the winter months. Ever since fitting the CGR decat I have had a permanent EML on the dash, only a map tweak will fix it so I will probably take a run over to Leeds to RS Tuning to have that sorted (and watch my beloved Leeds United also!). So I thought I’d better make the trip worthwhile and squeeze out as many ponies as I can...

First up I bought a Wagner FMIC. On my last Megane I fitted an Airtec Stage 2 FMIC but it was big, heavy and covered the radiator and as such restricted air flow. I considered Pro Alloy also but after much deliberation went with the Wagner. Very well manufactured and nicely designed

Next up I bought an intake. Again, a bit of reading comparisons between keeping the standard airbox or fitting an intake. So I opted for the ITG Maxogen intake.

Neither of the above have actually been fitted as yet but should get round to that sometime in the coming weeks. When the above are fitted it leaves me with a bit of a dilemma...should I just go the whole hog and buy 630cc injectors and a 20T hybrid 😬🤔. Decat, intake and FMIC should be good for around 320bhp/340lbft. The injectors and turbo would see it push 350/350 but really can’t decide if it’s actually worth the extra cash!

Aside from stock piling parts I’ve had a few good runs in the car the last number of weekends, getting out early Sunday morning is my favourite time as the roads are quiet. Yesterday though I headed to the Burger Run. Very enjoyable day with some great cars in attendance!

Really is a lovely car, I find it crazy that the vag 2.0 can achieve enormous figures but from the sound of it to get anywhere close with your engine would require a serious amount of work.

I would probably take yours over a golf though for uniqueness as there's not nearly as many about.

Wagner cooler looks awesome too!

Cheers! Yeah the VAG TFSI 2.0 engines make huge power on standard internals - pretty sure a Stage 1 map on the Golf R would be much more than the Meg can make with hybrid fitted and supporting modifications! These just don’t make big power, if you go higher than 380bhp you need to start forging them. Have seen a couple run 500+ with a Garrett fitted 🤤😍.

Was having a good look round this yesterday on the run, it’s in incredible condition! Photos really don’t do the colour justice! Plans for the winter sound good 👍🏻

Just need to get it out of the box and fitted 😂.

The Lotus is awesome! Thanks to @mike150 & my friend who has the 430 I found myself looking on Pistonheads etc at a few Elise(s) yesterday evening 😃.

Thanks a lot! With the exception of the nasty stone chip on the bonnet it’s been well cared for! Had a nosey round both of the Mini’s yday (OIB & ONZ) -both fantastic looking cars and well kept too!

The Megane must go well as on our run home yesterday I was going reasonably quick but they aren't roads I'm ever on much so don't know them and Eddie sat behind me fine and actually dropped back in traffic and then caught me a few miles after Moneyslane. Very enjoyable run...…………………...massive pile of cow:poop: somewhere before Rathfriland though...…………...Farmers: unamused:
