need a cheap motor for my mate who has just blown the engine we are talking under 500 here as funds are very scarce being students and all failing that a seat ibiza engine for the 1993 to 1999 model (i think) would also do any help will be very appriciayed

polo, golf ibiza or skoda 1.4 engine should go in fine, get round the local scrappies.

skoda didnt have a 1.4 until 2000 and it was based on a different platform. the 1.3 wil go into the ibiza fine though.
