Ideally in diesel but petrol considered. Anyone know of one lying around?

Would also consider an older 1992 on estate.

Yes, quite specific. I remember these when they were new and still have the brochure somewhere. I believe it was a "last of the line special edition". I don't mind if it requires a bit of welding.

I was behind one of these Escort estates a couple of days ago in Newtownabbey with a Northern Retros sticker on the rear window. Wasn't blue though.

Perfect colour and it's strange that it is actually a 1.6 - the Southern ones are usually an old 1.4 CVH engine. Shame about the wheels and it will get a modern Northern Reg if I import it

Aw come on just buy it! It's the nearest match in 5 years of this thread! If Southern ones didn't get the 1.6 you might find it's a UK car that reverts to its original registration number when reimported. Or worst case buy it a cheap DKZ plate and set of original wheels.
