Hi Guys,
Thought I'd try this here, as I know there are fellow watch enthusiast's in our midst
I am trying to free up some money, currently, so I am putting my beloved BigEye up for sale.
I lusted after this watch for quite a while before I pulled the trigger. I think it's one of the nicest chrono's about at the moment. Love the size, the "bigeye" sub dial and the large pushers etc. Just sets it off from the rest, especially for this money.
The brilliant L688.2 column-wheel movement is smooth as butter, which makes the chrono a joy to use.
Overall just a stunning watch, that wears and looks amazing, IMO of course It also won the 2017 GRAND PRIX DE L’HORLOGERIE DE GENÈVE.
It comes as a full set, with the warranty card dated 29/08/19. Longines come with a 2 year warranty, so plenty left.
Overall it is in great condition. Couple of things of note are some hairlines on the case back (no idea how they happened, maybe setting it down?) and a tiny "ding" at the bottom of the case, near the 6 marker. These have been photographed and pointed out, and are, as always, way worse in the photos. Other than that it is immaculate.
It comes with the extra brown-leather strap, pictured, too.
I like to be completely transparent and honest. Any other pics/questions, please ask.
Retail on this is £2190.00 but I got a good deal from Ernest Jones on this (now out of stock). Cheapest one I can see new, currently, is £2060.00 if you take chronext, thewatchsource etc. out (they are questionable). And they seem to be going around £1700 second hand, from reputable dealers. You don't see any/many around, especially on eBay, in the UK anyway.
I would like to get £1400.00 £1300.00for this. I believe this to be very fair, for IMO a future classic.
I am already regretting this, but needs must...
And some nice shots from the time I've owned it
Cheers
Simon
