This is why I haven't committed to anything yet, trying to be slightly careful. Some decent deals are cropping up on wanted cars at present but no real slump in prices across the board.

I believe they are using the car and having a bit of fun with it first though as you would expect....
Going to be some win for someone at £25!!!
I would be lying if i said that I wasn’t going to try and win it back!!!

In other news this 997 GT3RS took off today past my max bid.....It made £103k after fees. A car that hadn’t seen a service in 10 years and needed a bit of TLC. Stunning super rare example and I really had dreamt of owning it..from the first time I has seen it I had really admired everything about it.... pity. But it wasn’t meant to be...I’ll leave some images I took of it here anyways as I’m sure there will be a few who will appreciate it!

I guess you mean would I use this on the road?
Or If your question was aimed at the fact that it’s wasted etc etc if it’s not used on a track..... in the kindest way don’t bother as I don’t really care.
People use and love cars in many different ways...collectors have them sitting in heated palaces and others keep them in wooden sheds and take them out on a Sunday. Personally I like to enjoy a car without having to have the best lap times or be the best track pilot.
P.s Probably between Moira and Gilford mostly to give you a precise answer.

it was a genuine question. no ulterior motive.
just seems a very expensive car to track & outside that where else are you going to get the full advantage of such a motor?

997 Gt3 rs (in orange) would be on my top three to own cars, I’d have a look at the 997 gt3’s on pistonheads, not as hardcore but still a fantastic car and a bit more bang for your buck.

That's the one I see all the time - I think he has something to do with one of the units down beside me. Always see/hear him raking about the place. He's not afraid to make a bit of noise!

Back on topic - fair play Niall! Only saw the Lambo once but it had such road presence. Good on you for living the dream. I've got my eye on a car I've wanted for a long time but I just don't know if the time is right, nor do I know how I would even go about looking at it/buying it

997 GT3 / RS models are holding the same value as a 991 GT3 now. Thats because they are super rare.

There's almost as many 991 GT3's for sale in the UK as their are 991 Carrera 2's. Whilst 911's in general are still low production cars compared to a normal car, the reality is that 991 GT3's are very common in the Porsche world, and as a result, still have a lot of depreciating to do.

997 GT3 RS is my ultimate dream car. That green one is class. 991 GT3 admittedly a better daily driver, but depends how often you intend on driving it. If it's just a toy, RS all day! Lol

Theres a lovely Black V10 plus - new model seems to float about bleary...

Cheers bud, yeah it really was a stunning car and actually was such a nice example. Let’s hope the world gets back to normality sooner rather than later so everyone can get out and enjoy these cars!
