They arent sold new in mk4 guise any more....only so many made but they are holding their value particularly well

You will have problems geting a R32 for less than 20k.

Only 1500 made for the UK - they are holding there value really well... I have been offered £500 less than what I paid for the car a year ago.

The Mk5 is likely to be a R36 and is over a year away....

TBH they are Big Fat cars, for people that like to go slow in style - lol...

they are lovely cars although a diet wouldnt go a miss. golfs have lost there way a bit, the mk1 and 2 was all about lightness and speed. i wonder what the mpg figures are for this big fat bastidd of a golf ??

I agree, they look awesome, but the performance isnt exactly breath taking compared to what it could be if it shed a few pounds... especially considering that in that price bracket theres some seriously mean competitors out there!

The Mk5 R32 looks quite well. Twin center exit exhausts etc, subtle styling.. Looks cool

I know those cars arent all in the same class, but if your spending that type of money then theres a few to consider and I do think the above would be classed as competitors. But thats just my personal opinion.
