does the main driver not have to be the person who drives it most?

technicality :p

plus, how are you gonna prove it too!!
when your folks turn up in their cars to see the mess you made of the "third" car!!!! D'oh!
, if youre gonna drop a bollock might as well make it as big a bollock as possible! get it into the paper and everything!
bend over!!

pfft, cudda been a different story if it wasnt for the likes of me ;) who'd have thought chewing gum wud be dangerous when driving :p

aaaah the old insurance debate. id no choice but to "bend over" as brendy put it, and get welted at the end of every month to pay my insurance. £2280 TPFT on the RS1100, last payment was on monday there... well, it will be whenever i send it thru, direct debits work a lot better when there is actually money in ur account  well, i only missed 2 payments out of 11, not too bad for a beginner methink... been quoting on the rs 1400 recently, best one is from Liverpool Victoria, £1560 FC... i cant wait!! its £52 cheaper every month and the initial deposit is half of what my 1st years policy was, so im happy...

Year 1 : £2280 TPFT Fiesta RS 1100
Year 2 : £1560 FC Escort RS 1400 (all mods declared btw)

to be safe, id just bight the pillow, and go for it in ur own name, if u get a quinn policy, u can drive other ppl's cars anyway, so ur flying... as long as they let you. might be cheaper in ur parents name, just too many un-answered questions about it for my liking, better safe than sorry.

to be fair i think insurance is one of those things that differ from one person to the next. u'll always get someone arguing black is white. just shop around, have quotes done every way u can think, u'll find somethin that suits :grinning:
