Slightly unrelated but anyone care to tell me what the blue plastic disc is for. I noticed one in one of my dad's old kits but no idea what it's used for.

Anytime I bought new ratchets it came with one over the drive part

It's a spin disc, speeds up taking off loosened nuts. Slide it over the extension and spin it round.

Got a the 40 piece one there myself, was looking around for one as my other set is really old and not up to much so this will do for some tinkering, what's not to like for £8!

Bought the 52 piece. Completely no need for it and also 48 lavender plugs for my patio pots for a tenner. Wish I hadn’t of opened this thread now.
