Help! Car wont start

Hello,
Last night during the night I was driving home and had to drive throught to huge puddles of water and just after the second puddle my car died and wont start! Does any one have any suggestions on whats gone wrong? I need my car for tonight so all help much appreciated!

Was it petrol or diesel?

what car do you have? possibly water in distributor/leads??

sparks might have got wet.

What sort of speed where you carrying into these puddles? Did it make any bad noises and stop very suddenly or did it just die out as if it ran out of fuel?

if u have got water in throu the intakes ur engine is fuked
