Just a quick shout out to @big_pete for the great job on my car which I picked up this week.

I was lucky enough to get one of the first allocations in Northern Ireland for the new FL5. Previously owned an FN2 and an FK2 so had my name down for this one last summer. First car I bought that I had never test driven, but now that I have it has easily lives up to the hype.

Always had a keen interest in the CTR and realise that this will be the last ICE manual version and really wanted to own one. A proper drivers car that is sadly becoming a very niche market with only a few hundred units coming into the UK market over the entire production run of the FL5.

Still on the break in period for the engine so not fully able to open her up just yet, but even with the fact I haven't many miles on the car I can definitely say the gearbox, and handling are a real step up from the FK2. The front seats are the best I have ever sat in with a terrific drivers position, and the interior is a major step up in quality. The car is slightly longer than the FK2 and brings with it the usual practicality which I need as I will be using as a daily.

Photos really don’t do them justice they are stunning in the flesh. And the interior is a real step up, as a German car lover the interior is normally what puts me off Japanese cars but this is right up there, love the detail in the air vents etc

That’s lovely and noting to OTT.

What’s the seats like in these?
The seats are the best I have ever sat in and that is no exaggeration. Just really comfortable, supportive and the driving position is sublime.

Actually really warmed to these having seen more reviews on them. Very strong pricing but what isn't these days, especially as it'll be the last of its breed.

Health to enjoy!

Yes the pricing is strong and seems to be the focus on a lot of forums as opposed to the actual car. Unfortunately it is the way the market is and that is what dictates price. This type of car is a dying breed, and fair play to Honda for keeping the flame alive but it comes at a cost. Long gone are the days of mass production and lower prices. Now it is a niche market and with that the corresponding pricing.

The car is absolutely worth it though 😉

I kind of don't want to like it but the more I look at it / watch Harry's video above, it's actually not bad. A grower I think, Look forward to seeing one in the flesh.

Health to enjoy!!

Any interior shots?

I'm sure these are a fun car to drive how long left until the engine is broke in?

Love these, getting great reviews too. Honda seemed to have addressed all the OTT aesthetics complaints about the previous model but not lost any of the car's ability.

These are stock photos but all of the cars irrespective of colour have the same interior. You can add some lighting and carbon. They are only aesthetic changes.

starting to warm to the styling, thought it was a bit US integgy on release, silly pricing though and i hear dealers are actually charging premium above MSRP! like they seen what happened to the GR Yaris and thought we can do that lol

over and above MSRP is more of a US thing.

there have been instances that people have purchased and then handed back to dealers so effectively no longer a dealer car. other cars have gone to independents and true to market conditions currently across the board there is mark ups galore

Love it!

Nit picking, but removing the rear wiper would clean up the rear.

£47k retail and they seem to be going for £55k.

A few pics from a run along the Coast road yesterday. Really enjoying the car and just much more grown up compared to the more raw FK2. A major difference is how responsive the engine is too compared to FK2 as it was laggy in comparison, and the amount of torque always available whatever gear you are in is impressive. Also the gears and seats make the car such a joy to drive over longer distances.
